MLT Web The Kino Producer contains's DV AVI and Quicktime readers. But how does fezzik know to use Kino as opposed to ProducerAvformat?, the default Producer for AVI and MOV?
If you attempt to load an avi, it is first tested for DV content by the
kino producer (by way of mcdv - so, yes, at run time, it'll use the mc
codec, it will fall back on libdv when mc isn't available, and failing
those will use the avformat avi handling which has poor seeking
capabilities for dv content).
